Introduction:  How It All Began

To introduce this farm based business, we must go back almost two decades. The meeting of two people and a copy of a pamphlet called “The Calcium Connection” was the starting point which sparked two men’s curiosity to delve deeper into what was happening to our soil.

Darin McFalls was raised on the McFalls family farm, 30 kms north of London Ontario. Darin and his family went through many of the pitfalls and hard times that come with trying to make a living off the family farm. Throughout the years, being forced to adapt and change to ever growing challenges, Darin like most, was forced to seek employment off the family farm, in order to save it. Construction came calling and Darin worked at the Beachville Lime Plant, driving earth moving equipment.

Lime, as he was to learn, was being used to fertilize farms. Being accustomed to the regular regime of Nitrogen, Phosphorous & Potassium (NPK), this was something new for him. A little while later, along came a copy of The Calcium Connection and Darin was off to visit his friend Larry Pocock.

Larry moved to Lucan, Ontario at the age of 9, the son of a parish priest. Growing up with a strong sense of what farming meant to his community, he worked after school picking rocks, sweet corn or shoveling manure and watched his father worry about the people he cared for and praying that they would have a good year. Early in his working life, he owned a lawn care franchise which meant the spraying and spreading of chemicals. During his orientation, he was taught about organic based fertilizer programs and could not stop wondering why they didn't just use organic? If precautions had to be used not to breathe in or have contact with the chemicals that he was using, then how was it okay to spray these fertilizers and chemicals on another living organism – grass? Something just did not seem right.

As Darin investigated and researched the use of calcium and what it does to the soil, they discovered that calcium is the only element responsible for cell growth and division. A long cry from NPK, and different combinations which are commonly used on lawns.

It did not take long for Larry to exit the business of spraying and spreading chemicals. For the next 15 years, both men have spent countless hours learning and experimenting with many different forms and methods, encompassing soil, plant, water and animal. As both men experimented, they became compelled to continue their investigations by the fact that people are suffering from disease more than ever before and in many cases, at a much earlier age.

Their goal became the development of nutrient dense food with a gross atomic weight that far supersedes current standards.

Natural, organic, chemical-free food will make a difference with respect to your health and to our environment.
